Spiced Chickpea Toast Snack
Ingredients
- A can of chickpeas
- Olive oil (a little)
- Smoked paprika
- Sea salt
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Ground pepper
- Chipotle powder (a pinch)
- Cumin (a pinch)
- Turmeric (a pinch)
- Bread slices (for toasting)
- Hummus, tahini, or mashed avocado
- Fresh herbs (chopped)
Preparation
Drain the chickpeas from the can.
Cook the drained chickpeas in a pan with a little olive oil and your favorite spices for 3-5 minutes.
Toast the bread slices.
Serve the spiced chickpeas on the toasted bread with hummus, tahini, or mashed avocado and garnish with chopped fresh herbs.
