Homemade Paleo Gingerbread Donuts

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon cashew butter
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 tablespoon coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Icing

  • 1/4 cup coconut butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 325F

  2. Whisk 2 eggs

  3. Add the ingredients and mix well to form a batter

  4. Bake the batter for approximately 12 minutes

  5. Combine the icing ingredients and melt for 30 seconds

  6. Apply the icing to the donuts and allow it to harden

Tips

  1. Prepare the icing right after mixing the donut batter so it can harden while the donuts bake
