Maple Pecan Stovetop Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp chopped pecans
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Preparation

  1. Heat up the milk and oats together until they start bubbling.

  2. Add the maple syrup, pecans, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

  3. Stir together and let it cook for 8-10 minutes until it thickens.

Toppings

  1. Add toppings such as banana, peanut butter, and Greek yogurt.

  2. Use vegan yogurt to keep it plant-based.
