Crispy Karipap with Potato Filling
Ingredients
Dough
- 1 kg flour
- 3 spoons cooking oil
- 1 tablespoon margarine
- cold water
- a little salt
Filling
- potatoes
- curry powder
- sliced yellow onions
- celery leaves
Preparation
Mix the flour and margarine, then add the heated cooking oil and stir with a spoon
Add a little salt and gradually mix in cold water while kneading until the dough does not stick to hands
Heat oil in a pan and fry sliced onions until fragrant
Add potatoes and water up to the level of the potatoes, cook until water is almost dry
Stir in curry powder and season with sugar and salt
Finally, add celery leaves and mix well
Roll out the dough, fill with the potato mixture, seal the edges, and deep-fry until golden and crispy
