Crispy Fried Cheddar Cheese Cubes

Ingredients

  • 1/4 kg chilled cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

For frying

  • Corn oil

Preparation

  1. Using a sharp knife, cut the cheese into 2x4 cm cubes and place them in a deep plate, then pour the milk over them and let sit for 10 minutes.

  2. In a flat plate, place the flour and pepper and mix to combine the ingredients.

  3. In a deep plate, place the eggs and vinegar and mix with a fork until well combined.

  4. Place the breadcrumbs in a flat plate.

  5. Remove the cheese from the milk, place them in the flour and toss to coat well.

  6. Place the cheese in the egg mixture and toss to coat well, then roll in the breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to adhere, and place on a wide tray.

  7. In a deep frying pan, add corn oil to a depth of 2 inches and heat over medium heat.

  8. Fry several cheese pieces in the hot oil, turning with a slotted spoon until golden brown, then transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil and serve hot.
