Malaysian Steamed Layered Cake
Ingredients
- 2 cups rice flour
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 5 cups coconut milk
- a pinch of salt
Preparation
Mix all ingredients in a blender and divide into two parts
Add red food coloring to one part and leave the other white, then add a small amount of salt to both for better texture
Prepare a steamer and grease a pan or mold
Using a spoon of the same size, pour a layer of mixture into the pan and steam for 10 minutes
Repeat the process layer by layer, alternating colors, until all mixture is used
