Spicy Sambal Jerit and Pecak with Fish
Ingredients
Sambal jerit
- 2 cloves garlic
- 6 red chilies
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons hot oil
Sambal pecak
- 5 red chilies
- 4 green chilies
- 1 small belimbing wuluh
- 1/2 shallot (optional)
- 1/2 large red tomato
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Main components
- Fish (grilled or fried, quantity as desired)
Preparation
Prepare the fish by grilling or frying until fully cooked.
For Sambal Jerit: Pound all ingredients together and pour hot oil over them.
For Sambal Pecak: Pound all ingredients together.
Serve the sambals with the fish, accompanied by rice and fresh vegetables.
