Irresistible Cinnamon Raisin Scone Delights
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (gluten-free 1:1 baking flour can be used)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (coconut sugar can be used)
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tbsp. cinnamon
- 1/3 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup milk (nut milk, such as Milkadamia, can be used)
- 1 egg
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet by spraying or lining it.
In a small bowl, whisk together the milk and egg.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon. Stir in the raisins.
Pour the wet ingredients (milk and egg mixture) into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
Flatten the dough into a circle shape on the baking sheet.
Cut the flattened dough into 8 slices, but do not separate them.
Bake the scone circle for about 13 minutes, or until the scones are golden and cooked through.
Once baked, remove the scone circle from the oven and let it cool slightly before carefully separating the slices.
