Chocolate Oats Bowl with Banana and Seeds

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup quick Steel Cut Oats (or soak 1/4 cup regular Steel Cut oats overnight)
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 chopped up medjool date
  • 1/4 tsp ginger powder
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 sliced up banana
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

Toppings

  • thawed raspberries
  • caramelized banana
  • pumpkin seeds
  • chocolate chunks

Preparation

  1. Combine dry ingredients evenly then add in your liquids, banana and dates.

  2. Bring mixture to a simmer and allow to cook until slightly thickened, 3-5 minutes.

  3. Serve as desired. I love it when it’s nice and warm so it can melt the chocolate on top.
