Easy Homemade Brazilian Cheese Biscuits
Ingredients
- 70 grams grated coalho cheese or Minas cheese (avoid mozzarella or prato cheese as they melt too much and may cause deformation)
- 15 grams grated parmesan cheese
- 35 grams heavy cream
- 63 grams sour tapioca starch or sweet tapioca starch
- Salt to taste
- 1 large egg, plus additional as needed
Preparation
Break the egg and mix well, then set aside
Mix the cheeses, tapioca starch, and heavy cream
Gradually add the beaten egg, 1 teaspoon at a time, until the dough is firm and does not stick to your hands
Take a portion of the dough, form a small ball, then roll into a snake. Fold the snake into a horseshoe shape
Bake on a greased baking sheet at 180Β°C (350Β°F) for 20 minutes or until golden
