Homemade Vegan Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups of Flour
  • 1 Tbsp of Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp of Salt
  • 1 tsp of Onion Powder
  • 2 tsp of Garlic Powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp of Old Bay Seasoning
  • 2 tsp of Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp of Parsley chopped
  • 1 cup Plant Milk
  • 1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/3 cup plus 2 Tbsp melted Butter
  • 2 cups @followyourheart Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • Pepper to taste

Topping

  • 2 Tbsp of Vegan Butter melted
  • 1 Tbsp of Parsley chopped
  • 1/2 tsp of Garlic Powder

Preparation

  1. Add the apple cider vinegar to the plant milk and set aside.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, spices, and sugar.

  3. Pour the melted butter into the milk before adding it to the flour mixture.

  4. Gently stir to combine, and before fully combined, add in the cheddar cheese. Mix until all dry ingredients are incorporated.

  5. Scoop out the biscuits onto a large baking sheet using a large spoon or ice cream scoop. Gently press each biscuit down to make them slightly less round.

  6. Bake at 450°F for 10 to 13 minutes.

  7. Melt the vegan butter, then mix with chopped parsley and garlic powder for the topping

  8. As soon as they come out of the oven, brush with the topping mixture and serve.
