Red Bean and Corn Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head lettuce
  • 1 cup cooked red beans
  • 1 cup cooked corn

Vinegar sauce

  • 4 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine-grained sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

For serving

  • toasted Arabic bread triangles

Preparation

  1. Bring a wide serving plate.

  2. With your fingertips, tear the lettuce leaves into small pieces.

  3. Place the lettuce leaves in the serving dish and spread the beans and corn.

  4. In a deep bowl, combine white vinegar, mayonnaise, fine-grained sugar, salt, and black pepper; whisk until smooth.

  5. Spread the vinegar sauce over the salad and serve with toasted Arabic bread triangles.
