Cabbage Salad with Olives

Ingredients

  • 250 grams sliced cabbage
  • 1 medium green apple, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 medium carrot, grated
  • 1 large pickled cucumber, thinly sliced

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish

  • Black olive slices
  • Chopped walnuts
  • Pomegranate seeds

Preparation

  1. In a deep bowl, place the cabbage, apple, carrot, and cucumber. Mix the vegetables to combine.

  2. For the sauce: In a deep bowl, place the sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Using a fork, mix the ingredients to get a smooth sauce.

  3. Pour the sauce over the vegetables. Mix the vegetables with the sauce. Place the dish in the refrigerator for about an hour or until serving.

  4. For serving: Pour the salad into a serving dish. Spread the olives, walnuts, and pomegranate, then serve.
