Black Pepper Chicken Stir-Fry
Ingredients
- 400g chicken breast fillet
- 100g cornstarch
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 egg
- Salt
- Black pepper powder
- 1/2 red bell pepper
- 1/2 green bell pepper
- 1 onion
Black pepper sauce
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 tbsp sweet soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp coarse black pepper
- Mushroom stock to taste
- Salt
- Sugar
- Water as needed
- 1.5 tbsp cornstarch
Preparation
Cut the chicken into cubes, season with soy sauce, salt, and pepper, mix well and let marinate for 30 minutes
After 30 minutes, mix with egg and stir well, then coat each piece of chicken in cornstarch, roll it and fry until golden brown, remove and drain
For the sauce, sauté garlic until fragrant, add water as needed, then add all sauce ingredients except the cornstarch, stir and check the taste
Add the cornstarch slurry, stir until thickened, then add the bell pepper and onion pieces, stir briefly, add the chicken, stir well and serve
Tips
Fry the chicken with a thin coating of flour for the best taste
Ensure the bell peppers and onion remain crisp for added texture
