Padang-Style Shrimp Stir-Fry
Ingredients
- 350 g shrimp
- 1 small onion
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Salt to taste
- Margarine as needed
- Water as needed
Ground spices
- 3 cloves garlic
- 3 shallots
- 3 red chilies
- 4 bird's eye chilies
- 1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns
Preparation
Stir-fry the shrimp with margarine as needed until it turns red, then set aside.
Stir-fry the ground spices and onion with margarine until fragrant, add the shrimp, then add the sauces, soy sauce, and salt to taste.
Stir the mixture, add a little water, cook until the spices are absorbed, adjust the taste, and it's done.
Notes
Freshwater shrimp can be used for a redder color and better taste.
