Steamed Chicken Siomay Dumplings
Ingredients
Wrappers
- 20 wonton wrappers
Filling
- 350 g ground chicken
- 3 garlic cloves
- 3 small green onions
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp mushroom stock
- 1/2 tsp ground pepper
- 1.5 tsp salt (to taste)
- 2 eggs
- 75 ml ice water
- 100 g tapioca flour
Preparation
Mix the chicken, green onions, garlic, mushroom stock, pepper, salt, and sugar until well combined.
Add ice water and eggs and knead until evenly mixed.
Add tapioca flour and stir until fully incorporated.
Take one wonton wrapper, place it in a mold, and add 2 teaspoons of filling, then repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
Steam in a preheated steamer for 20 minutes over medium heat or until cooked.
Serve with tomato sauce and chili sauce.
Tips
The siomay can also be fried for a different texture, depending on preference.
