Oven-Baked Chicken Drumsticks with Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 12 chicken drumsticks
  • 6 potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper and red pepper powder
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

  1. Grate the onion and garlic.

  2. Mix them with tomato paste, vegetable oil, black pepper, red pepper powder, and salt, then let the mixture rest.

  3. Peel the potatoes and cut them into wedges.

  4. Mix the potatoes with the chicken and the sauce mixture.

  5. Sear the chicken drumsticks in a pan on both sides.

  6. In the same pan, sauté the potatoes and flavor them with any remaining sauce.

  7. Transfer the potatoes to a baking dish and arrange the chicken drumsticks on top.

  8. Wet and wring out a sheet of baking paper, cut a hole in the middle, and cover the dish with it.

  9. Bake in a preheated oven at the highest temperature for about 45 minutes.

  10. Remove the baking paper and bake until the tops are golden.

Tips

  1. Check if the potatoes are done by inserting a knife.

  2. Serve the chicken drumsticks hot.
