Perfect Moist Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar (200 g)
- 1 cup vegetable oil (200 ml)
- 1 cup milk (200 ml)
- 1.5 packets baking powder
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
- 1.5 cups flour (200 g)
Sauce
- 3 cups milk (600 ml)
- 3/4 cup sugar (150 g)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil (100 ml)
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 50 grams dark chocolate
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Mix eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add vegetable oil and milk to the egg mixture and stir well.
In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and cocoa.
Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and mix until smooth.
Pour the batter into a greased 20cm x 29cm baking dish.
Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
While the cake is baking, prepare the sauce by combining milk, sugar, vegetable oil, cocoa, and dark chocolate in a saucepan.
Heat the sauce over medium heat, stirring until the chocolate melts and the mixture is smooth.
Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven and immediately pour the hot sauce over it.
Allow the cake to cool and absorb the sauce before serving.
