Turkish Chopped Vegetable Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 large green pepper

Sauce

  • 1 teaspoon pomegranate molasses
  • 1 teaspoon sumac
  • 1 teaspoon Urfa pepper
  • a small amount of olive oil
  • juice of half a lemon
  • salt

Preparation

  1. Process all ingredients in a food processor until coarsely chopped, pulsing briefly and repeating to avoid over-processing.

  2. Drain excess water through a strainer.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix the sauce ingredients and add to the salad.

Tips

  1. This salad is meant to be eaten with bread for dipping.
