Cheesy Ground Meat and Potato Bake
Ingredients
Meat
- 500 grams ground meat
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon mixed spices
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon basil
Vegetables
- 4 large potatoes, boiled
- 2 green peppers, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced
- 1/2 cup pickled cucumber
- 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
- 1 cup liquid cream
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese
Preparation
Heat the oven to 180 degrees, prepare a medium-sized baking dish and grease it with butter.
For the meat, in a skillet heat the oil, add the meat and stir on medium heat until it becomes dry.
Add the onion, garlic, salt, spices, pepper, oregano, basil and stir until the onion wilts, then set aside.
Cut the potatoes into slices.
Place the potato slices in the dish, slightly overlapping.
Add the green pepper and the pickled cucumber.
Add the meat.
Add the tomato slices.
Spread the cream over the tomatoes.
Sprinkle a generous layer of cheese.
Cover the dish with butter paper then aluminum foil.
Place the dish in the oven for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and leave it until the cheese browns.
