Easy Homemade Garlic Herb Butter for Grilling

Ingredients

  • 250 g soft butter
  • 1 bunch fresh herb mix (chives, parsley, basil, dill, mint, coriander, wild garlic)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tsp coarse sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

Optional garnish

  • 1 tbsp dried edible flowers (e.g., cornflowers or calendula)

Preparation

  1. Beat the butter briefly

  2. Wash the herb mixture, shake dry, and chop finely

  3. Peel and press the garlic clove and add to the butter

  4. Add salt and pepper and mix well

  5. Then add the herb mixture

  6. Place the herb butter on a piece of plastic wrap and carefully shape into a 4 cm wide roll with your hands

  7. Chill the herb butter roll in the refrigerator for 1 hour until firm

  8. Then slice and keep cool until serving

Tips

  1. For a decorative touch, mix in 1 tablespoon of dried edible flowers such as cornflowers or calendula

  2. The fresh herb butter will keep refrigerated for at least one week
