Easy Homemade Ketchup and Mayonnaise
Ingredients
Ketchup
- 8 tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1.5 cups water
- 1 teaspoon vegetable seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 cloves
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
Mayonnaise
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1.5 cups oil
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon white grape vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
Preparation

Peel and chop the tomatoes into cubes. Chop the onions similarly.
Heat olive oil in a sauce pan and sauté the onions. Then add the tomatoes.
Add 1.5 cups of water, vegetable seasoning, cumin, sugar, salt, garlic, cloves, and apple cider vinegar in order.
Cook until all ingredients are soft and the mixture thickens, then blend until smooth.
Distribute the prepared ketchup into Paşabahçe jars.
Mayonnaise
In a mixing bowl, start whisking the egg yolks and mustard.
Gradually add the oil, lemon juice, white grape vinegar, and salt while continuing to whisk.
Once thickened, transfer the mayonnaise to Paşabahçe jars.
