Simple Brazilian Corn Cake with Cinnamon

Ingredients

  • 1 can corn, drained
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Topping

  • Sugar
  • Ground cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Blend milk, oil, corn, sugar, and eggs in a blender until smooth

  2. In a bowl, sift together flour and cornstarch. Pour in the blended mixture and mix until combined

  3. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 8-inch tube pan

  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 180Β°C (350Β°F) for about 40 minutes

  5. Let cool completely in the pan, then unmold

  6. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon
