Crispy Fried Potato Cones
Ingredients
- 1/2 packet small-sized Chinese dough
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 large potatoes, cut into very small cubes
- 5 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- Chili to taste (optional)
For frying
- Corn oil (as needed)
For sealing paste
- Small amount of flour
- Small amount of water
- or egg white
Preparation
In a deep bowl, place the eggs, salt, pepper, and chili to taste, beat lightly with a hand whisk and set aside.
In a wide skillet, heat the olive oil and add the cubed potatoes, stir until wilted and slightly soft.
Add the egg mixture to the potatoes, stir to combine, leave for a few minutes until the egg dries then let it cool slightly and add the feta cheese.
To prepare the sealing paste, in a bowl put a small amount of flour and a small amount of water and stir to make a liquid dough, or use egg white.
Shape a sheet of the Chinese dough into a cone and use a little paste to fix it.
Stuff the cone with the egg and potato mixture, close it well and secure with more paste.
In a deep skillet, heat corn oil and fry the cones until golden brown.
