Homemade Healthy Nut Butter Granola

Ingredients

  • 4 cups old fashioned oats
  • 3/4 cup of your favorite nut butter
  • 1/2 cup flaxseeds
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • all your favorite nuts, seeds, dried fruits and/or chocolate

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C/350°F.

  2. Heat up the coconut oil and the nut butter in your microwave to make them more liquid.

  3. Mix together all the ingredients except the toppings and press the mixture with your fingers into a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

  4. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown, then mix through and add nuts and seeds if desired, and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

  5. Remove from the oven and let cool before adding the dried fruit and chocolate.

  6. Store the granola in an airtight container and enjoy.
