Strawberry Cream Cheese Cake
Ingredients
- 2 cups white flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup sweetened thick yogurt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Fresh strawberries as needed
- Sliced almonds optional
Cream cheese mixture
- 200 grams cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
Mix all the cream cheese ingredients together well and set aside.
Mix the flour and baking powder, then sift three times.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla with a mixer until light and fluffy.
Add the yogurt and oil, and mix for a few seconds.
Gradually add the sifted flour mixture and mix until smooth.
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
Spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture onto the surface, arrange sliced strawberries, and add sliced almonds if desired.
Place in a preheated oven at 170°C electric or 180°C gas for 40-45 minutes.
To check if done, insert a wooden skewer; if it comes out clean, it is ready, dust with powdered sugar and serve with tea.
