Strawberry Cream Cheese Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups white flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup sweetened thick yogurt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • Fresh strawberries as needed
  • Sliced almonds optional

Cream cheese mixture

  • 200 grams cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

  1. Mix all the cream cheese ingredients together well and set aside.

  2. Mix the flour and baking powder, then sift three times.

  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla with a mixer until light and fluffy.

  4. Add the yogurt and oil, and mix for a few seconds.

  5. Gradually add the sifted flour mixture and mix until smooth.

  6. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.

  7. Spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture onto the surface, arrange sliced strawberries, and add sliced almonds if desired.

  8. Place in a preheated oven at 170°C electric or 180°C gas for 40-45 minutes.

  9. To check if done, insert a wooden skewer; if it comes out clean, it is ready, dust with powdered sugar and serve with tea.
