Fermented Rice Steamed Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup fermented rice
  • 3 cups rice flour
  • Eno

Preparation

Making fermented rice

  1. Combine 2 cups of cold rice with 2 tablespoons of yeast powder and store for 2 days.

Preparing apam

  1. Blend the fermented rice, water, and sugar until smooth.

  2. Add the rice flour and mix well.

  3. Let the mixture rest for 2 hours.

  4. Add desired food coloring.

  5. Four minutes before steaming, stir in Eno until well combined.

  6. Steam for 15 minutes.
