Fluffy Roti Canai Mamak Style

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 4 cups flour

Preparation

  1. Mix the sugar, condensed milk, margarine, salt, and water until the sugar dissolves.

  2. Gradually add the flour while kneading.

  3. Knead until the dough is smooth, then shape into balls of desired size approximately.

  4. Brush the dough balls with oil.

  5. Let the dough rest for 3-4 hours, then fry it. When tossing and frying, use minimal oil.

Tips

  1. This recipe yields about 10 pieces; for larger pieces, make 8 instead.
