Oatmeal with Berry Chia Jam

Ingredients

Oatmeal

  • 1/3 cup of rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseeds
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

Berry jam

  • 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp sweetener (I used @soomfoods Silan Date Syrup)

Preparation

Berry jam

  1. In a microwave safe dish, combine chia seeds, frozen mixed berries and sweetener.

  2. Place in microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds.

  3. Once cooked through, stir and allow to sit for 5 minutes to thicken.

Oatmeal

  1. In a bowl, combine rolled oats, ground flaxseeds, cinnamon, salt, and unsweetened almond milk

  2. Microwave for 2-3 minutes until cooked and creamy

  3. Add sliced banana on top

  4. Top with the prepared berry jam
