Oatmeal with Berry Chia Jam
Ingredients
Oatmeal
- 1/3 cup of rolled oats
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseeds
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
Berry jam
- 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
- 2 tsp chia seeds
- 1/2 tsp sweetener (I used @soomfoods Silan Date Syrup)
Preparation
Berry jam
In a microwave safe dish, combine chia seeds, frozen mixed berries and sweetener.
Place in microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
Once cooked through, stir and allow to sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
Oatmeal
In a bowl, combine rolled oats, ground flaxseeds, cinnamon, salt, and unsweetened almond milk
Microwave for 2-3 minutes until cooked and creamy
Add sliced banana on top
Top with the prepared berry jam
