Plain and Chocolate Vegan Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 120g plain flour
  • 1 tsp ground chia seeds
  • 375ml plant milk

Chocolate option

  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp milk (if batter is too thick)

Preparation

  1. Vigorously whisk the ingredients together and set aside for 5 minutes to allow the ingredients to absorb the liquid.

  2. Heat a non-stick pan with a little oil, pour in enough batter to thinly cover the pan, and cook for 1 minute, then flip.

  3. Make 2-3 pancakes, then add 1 tablespoon of cacao powder to the remaining batter and whisk in, adding 1 tablespoon of milk if the batter is too thick.

  4. Make another 2-3 chocolate pancakes.

Serving suggestions

  1. Top with your favorite fruit, lemon, sugar, yogurt, or maple syrup.
