Stir-Fried Clams with Seaweed

Ingredients

  • 1 plate seaweed (prepared)
  • 1 plate clams
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 3 red or green chilies
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish or oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch (optional)

Preparation

  1. Soak or boil the dried seaweed until it expands and softens, then wash, drain, and cut to desired size.

  2. Sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.

  3. Add the chilies and sauté until wilted.

  4. Add the seaweed, clams, and other seasonings, then adjust the taste.

  5. If necessary, thicken with cornstarch dissolved in 3 tablespoons of water.

  6. Serve immediately.

Tips

  1. Keep dried seaweed like miyeok or wakame on hand for when fresh greens are unavailable, and simply soak or boil it to prepare due to time constraints.
