Beef Liver Pancake Cake
Ingredients
- 700g beef liver
- 1 large onion
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon sour cream, heaped
- 2 tablespoons flour, level
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Filling
- 2 onions
- 3 carrots
- Mayonnaise, as needed
- 1 tomato
- Garlic, optional
Preparation
Prepare the pancake batter by mixing beef liver, onion, eggs, sour cream, flour, vegetable oil, salt, and pepper until smooth
Fry the batter in a pan to make thin pancakes, cooking each side until done
Sauté onions and carrots in a pan until softened, adding garlic if desired
Mix the sautéed vegetables with mayonnaise and chopped tomato to create the filling
Layer the pancakes with the filling mixture, alternating until all ingredients are used
Chill the cake in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving
