Turkish Style Poğaça Pastry
Ingredients
- 500 grams flour
- 225 grams margarine or butter, at room temperature
- 1 egg
- 50 grams yogurt
- 75 milliliters lukewarm water
- 30 grams sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet fresh yeast
Topping
- Egg yolk
- Sesame seeds
Preparation
Place flour in a large bowl and make a well in the center, then add all ingredients and knead into a firm dough.
Let the dough rise for 20 minutes at room temperature, wrapped in plastic wrap.
Divide the dough into 90-gram pieces and shape as desired.
Brush the shaped dough with egg yolk and let it rise again.
Bake at 180 degrees Celsius until golden brown.
