Pecan Pie Oatmeal Breakfast Treat
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 1 medjool date
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp chopped pecans
- 1 tsp blackstrap molasses
- 1 tsp maple syrup (optional)
- 1 cup unsweetened soy milk
Preparation
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a low simmer.
Stir to combine and continue stirring as oats cook and thicken, about 5 minutes.
Adjust flavors as desired, feel free to add a little more sweetener if desired.
Top with extra pecans, banana, and nibs for a nice chocolate note.
