Mini Pides with Potato Filling
Ingredients
Dough
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 packet instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 egg whites
- 6 cups flour
Filling
- 7 medium potatoes
- 100-150g kasar cheese
- Salt, optional spices
Topping
- Egg yolk
- Sesame seeds
- Nigella seeds
Preparation
Make a soft dough with the given ingredients and let it rise.
While the dough is rising, boil the potatoes, peel them, and mash them while hot.
After mashing, add grated kasar cheese and salt to prepare the potato puree.
Divide the risen dough into 12 pieces.
Roll out each piece to the size of a tea plate and add the rounded potato mixture in the center.
Bring the edges together and shape into a pide form, spreading to tea plate size.
Brush with egg yolk, sprinkle with sesame and nigella seeds, and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius.
