Simple Turkish Fried Dough

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • Approximately 4-5 cups flour
  • Oil for frying

Preparation

  1. Mix all the ingredients and knead into a soft dough.

  2. Let the dough rise for about 1 hour.

  3. Divide the dough into two equal parts and roll out with a rolling pin to a not-too-thin thickness.

  4. Cut into rounds using a glass.

  5. Poke a hole in the center with a rolling pin.

  6. Fry in hot oil on both sides.
