Brazilian Anthill Cake

Ingredients

  • 7 medium eggs
  • 2 cups sugar (350 g)
  • 1 tablespoon essence (optional)
  • 150 ml oil
  • 200 ml water or whole milk
  • 120 g edible granules (used Dona Jura brand)
  • 3 cups wheat flour (390 g)
  • 1 heaping tablespoon baking powder

Preparation

  1. Beat the eggs with the sugar, oil, and essence in a mixer until doubled in volume.

  2. Then, with a whisk, gradually mix in the water with the flour.

  3. Next, add the granules.

  4. Finally, add the baking powder.

  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180Β°C.

Notes

  1. Use a 25x10 cm baking pan.

  2. The cup measurement used is 240 ml.
