Fluffy Vanilla and Chocolate Swirl Cake
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 4 tablespoons margarine
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 40 drops vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
Preparation
Beat egg whites until stiff and set aside
Beat egg yolks, sugar, and margarine until light and creamy
Add milk and flour, mix and beat until smooth
Add baking powder and egg whites, gently fold with a whisk
Divide the batter into two parts, one part slightly larger
To the larger half, add vanilla extract
To the other half, add cocoa powder
In a greased and floured tube pan, pour the vanilla batter and then the chocolate batter on top
Bake in a preheated medium oven for about 35 minutes
Remove from oven, let cool slightly and unmold
Serve immediately
