Simple Brazilian Cornmeal Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 500 ml milk
  • 1 1/2 cups cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Preparation

  1. In a blender, place the oil, eggs, sugar, milk, cornmeal, and flour.

  2. Blend everything for about 2 minutes or until well homogenized.

  3. Finally, add the baking powder and blend for 15 seconds, just to mix.

  4. Pour the batter into a greased and floured pan.

  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180Β°C for approximately 40 minutes or until golden.
