Easy Brazilian Cornmeal Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 capful baking powder

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C)

  2. Beat all ingredients in the order listed using a whisk or wooden spoon

  3. Pour the batter into a greased and floured pan

  4. Bake for about 40 minutes or until golden brown

Tips

  1. Optional: Fold in slices of mozzarella or spoonfuls of cream cheese into the batter before baking
