Classic Brazilian Cornmeal Cake
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 capful baking powder
Optional add-ins
- Slices of mozzarella (optional)
- Spoonfuls of cream cheese (optional)
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F)
Beat all ingredients in the order listed with a whisk or wooden spoon
Pour the batter into a greased and floured pan
Bake for about 40 minutes or until golden brown
Optional variation
If desired, mix in slices of mozzarella or spoonfuls of cream cheese before pouring into the pan
