Grandma's Brazilian Cornmeal Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 capful baking powder

Optional toppings

  • Slices of mozzarella
  • Spoonfuls of cream cheese

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F)

  2. Grease and flour a cake pan

  3. Beat the eggs, oil, and sugar together with a whisk or wooden spoon until well combined

  4. Add the milk, cornmeal, and flour, and beat until smooth

  5. Stir in the baking powder

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan

  7. Bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown
