Homemade Vegan Twix-Inspired Slice
Ingredients
Base
- 1/2 cup Oats
- 3/4 cup Almond Meal
- 1/4 cup Peanut Butter (I used @macr0mike PB+)
- 1/4 cup Brown Rice Syrup
- 3 tbs Coconut Oil
Caramel
- 1/2 cup Dates
- 1/4 cup Peanut Butter (I used more @macr0mike PB+)
- 1 cup Coconut Yoghurt
- 1 tsp Maca Powder
- Pinch of Pink Salt
Chocolate coating
- 2 tbs Cacao Powder
- 2 tbs Brown Rice Syrup
- 2 tbs Coconut Oil
Preparation
Preheat oven to 180°C
Blend together base ingredients and firmly press into a lined baking tray. Bake in the oven for around 20 minutes or until golden brown. Leave in the fridge to cool.
Blend caramel ingredients together and pour over cooked biscuit base. Put back in the fridge to set.
Mix together chocolate ingredients and pour over the caramel. Leave to set in the fridge for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
Keep stored in the fridge for up to a week. These can be frozen too and left to thaw in fridge 30 minutes prior to eating.
