Classic Apple Cinnamon Cake with Sugar Glaze
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 apples, sliced
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup sugar
Glaze
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
Preparation
Blend the eggs, sugar, oil, and milk in a blender until combined
In a separate bowl, mix the sifted flour with baking powder and cinnamon
In a greased and floured pan, arrange the sliced apples
Pour the batter over the arranged apples
Bake in a preheated oven at 180Β°C (350Β°F) for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
Prepare the glaze by combining sugar and water in a small saucepan; heat until sugar dissolves
Immediately after removing the cake from the oven, pour the glaze over the top
Tips
To prevent browning, keep sliced apples in water with a drop of lemon juice
