Classic Apple Cinnamon Cake with Sugar Glaze

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 apples, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Glaze

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Preparation

  1. Blend the eggs, sugar, oil, and milk in a blender until combined

  2. In a separate bowl, mix the sifted flour with baking powder and cinnamon

  3. In a greased and floured pan, arrange the sliced apples

  4. Pour the batter over the arranged apples

  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180Β°C (350Β°F) for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean

  6. Prepare the glaze by combining sugar and water in a small saucepan; heat until sugar dissolves

  7. Immediately after removing the cake from the oven, pour the glaze over the top

Tips

  1. To prevent browning, keep sliced apples in water with a drop of lemon juice
