Simple Cake for Any Occasion
Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons margarine
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 heaping tablespoon baking powder
Preparation
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks and set aside
Mix egg yolks, margarine, and sugar until well combined
Gradually add milk and flour, mixing continuously
Finally, fold in the egg whites and baking powder
Pour the batter into a greased and floured tube pan
Bake in a preheated oven at 180Β°C for about 40 minutes or until a fork inserted comes out clean
