10-Minute Easy Donut
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 5 tablespoons yogurt
- 5 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 cups flour (add gradually as needed)
Preparation
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg, vanilla, sugar, yogurt, and vegetable oil.
In another bowl, combine the baking powder and flour.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until a soft dough or batter forms; you may not use all the flour.
Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to about 375°F (190°C).
Drop spoonfuls of the dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove the donuts from the oil, drain on paper towels, and serve warm.
Tips
No kneading or resting is required for this quick recipe.
