Crispy Fried Chicken Calamari

Ingredients

  • 800g julienned chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Sauce

  • 1 egg
  • 1 bottle plain sparkling water
  • 5 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 packet baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt

For frying

  • Oil for frying

Preparation

  1. Julienne the chicken breast and mix it with the spices.

  2. In a separate bowl, combine the egg, sparkling water, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; mix well.

  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken, stir to coat, cover with plastic wrap, and let marinate for 1 hour.

  4. Heat oil in a pan until hot, then fry the chicken until crispy.

  5. Serve with ketchup, mayonnaise, and hot sauce.
