Indonesian Fried Onion Cake
Ingredients
- 1 kg all-purpose flour
- 200 g sago flour
- 300 g red onions, pureed
- 1 bulb garlic, pureed
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp chicken seasoning
- 1 bunch celery, finely chopped
- 2 tsp salt
- 350-400 ml coconut milk
- Oil for frying
Preparation
Mix the flour, sago flour, salt, and chicken seasoning until well combined.
Add the pureed onions, eggs, and celery. Slowly add the coconut milk and knead until smooth. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
Roll out the dough thinly to thickness number 6, then cut into squares.
Heat oil in a pan, fry the onion cakes until golden brown, then remove and drain.
