Flourless Brownies with Cacao and Nuts

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp. cacao powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar (I used coconut sugar)
  • 1/3 cup milk (I used almond milk)
  • 1/4 cup nut butter (I used peanut butter)
  • 2 eggs

Toppings

  • chocolate chips for topping (optional)
  • nuts for topping (optional)

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and grease a baking dish (I used a small casserole dish).

  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients, then stir in the dry ingredients.

  3. Pour the batter into the baking dish, top with chocolate chips and nuts, and bake for 25 minutes. Let cool before cutting into slices.
