Healthy Vegan Donuts

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 70g apple sauce
  • peel of 1 lemon
  • 130ml plant milk
  • 1 tbsp soy-flour (= egg replacement)
  • 20g nut butter ( I used sunflower seed butter)
  • 20g coconut sugar (use more if you like them to be sweeter or use vanilla flavedrops)
  • 100g rice flour ( or normal wheat/spelt flour)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F)

  2. Mix all ingredients well, pour the dough in a donut baking form ( I used a silicone one)

  3. You should prepare the form with some oil first!

  4. Bake the donuts for ~30 min ( depending on your oven)

  5. Let them cool down a little before you take them out of the form

  6. Glase the donuts and decorate them with toppings of your choice

  7. For the frosting I mixed vegan cream cheese, a 1tsp caramel spread and a splash of water
